Helium is colorless, tasteless, and odorless, and is a gaseous inert gas at room temperature. It has the lowest critical temperature and is the most difficult gas to liquefy. Extremely inactive, neither burning nor supporting combustion. It turns dark yellow when low-voltage discharge is performed. Helium has special physical properties. Under its vapor pressure at absolute zero, helium will not solidify. Helium has stable chemical properties and generally does not form compounds. It can form He +2 , HeH plasma and molecules when excited in a low-voltage discharge tube. Under certain conditions, it can form compounds with certain metals. Quality standard: National Standard Industrial Helium GB/T 4844.1—1995.
