The storage pressure of compressed natural gas for vehicles is 20MPa, which is an optimization result determined by considering the volumetric to weight ratio of vehicle cylinders and reducing the operating cost of CNG filling stations.
Compressed natural gas cylinders are divided into four categories:
(1) Steel or aluminum alloy metal bottle -CNG1;
(2) CNG2 composite gas cylinder reinforced with steel or aluminum lining and "hoop wound" resin immersion long fiber;
(3) Composite gas cylinder with steel or aluminum lining and "monolithic winding" resin immersion long fiber reinforcement -CNG3;
(4) CNG4 composite gas cylinder reinforced with plastic liner and "integral winding" resin immersion long fiber.
